Thanksgiving is a special time filled with traditions, loved ones and, most importantly, food. It is a great holiday to celebrate gratitude and thankfulness for everyone around you. It is also a time to indulge in wonderful foods like turkey, mashed potatoes, rolls and mac and cheese.

Turkey

Turkey is the main centerpiece of Thanksgiving dinner, providing a little protein on a table filled with carbs. Turkey is often referred to as the main event of Thanksgiving because it is a classic symbol for the holiday. When roasted to perfection, the turkey should be tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The dish also brings delicious leftovers for days to come such as turkey sliders, soup and turkey chili.

Mashed Potatoes

Mashed potatoes are creamy, buttery and tasty. They are the perfect side because they go along with many other dishes, including turkey. Mashed potatoes can also be topped with gravy, sour cream or melted cheese. The smooth texture and creamy flavor make them a crowd-pleasing side dish. Whether you are enjoying them with turkey, steak or ham mashed potatoes pair well with almost any dish.

Rolls

Added to the list are rolls. It is arguable that rolls are one of the best dishes on the table during Thanksgiving dinner because everyone loves rolls. They are soft, warm and delicious. You can top your rolls with anything from gravy to butter. The smell of freshly baked rolls wafting throughout the house is a plus.

Mac and Cheese

You can never go wrong with some cheesy and creamy mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is a dish that can be enjoyed by adults and kids, making it perfect for picky eaters. It can also be spiced up with a little bacon or breadcrumbs. If seasoned properly with the right amount of cheese, salt and pepper, mac and cheese is a tasty side dish perfect for Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving has been celebrated for over 100 years in America with tons of delicious foods. It is a time to create memories and enjoy wonderful food. Whether you are indulging in turkey, ham, delicious sides or even just dessert, Thanksgiving is a holiday that fills everyone with so much food and joy.
