Gallery: The Theatre Department Chose To Stage “The Little Mermaid” For Its Spring Musical

Swimming in Song: Senior Mya Rutledge, as Sebastian, leads the song “Under the Sea.” Ariel's sisters and other sea creatures join in by singing and dancing along.

Tapping Out: Junior Campbell Ruff, as Scuttle, performs a tap dance along with his other seagull friends. Ariel and Flounder watch from the surface.

Searching for Love: Prince Eric, played by senior Crew Carlile, hears Ariel’s voice and becomes determined to find her. He searches for her voice moments before his ship wrecks, during which Ariel saves his life.

Rebelling: King Triton, played by senior Yosef Kasper, is angry because Ariel, played by junior Ella Pike, went to the surface without permission and saved a human. Ariel wants to become human to be with Prince Eric, who she has fallen in love with.

Risky Situation: Ursula, played by sophomore Sloan Strickland, has her eels bring Ariel before her and offers her a proposal: Ariel can be human if she gives up her voice. If Ariel fails to make the prince fall in love with her within three days, her soul will belong to Ursula forever.

Follow My Lead: Scuttle teaches Ariel how to make Eric fall in love with her, adding in some dance moves to win his affection.

Going Hungry: Senior Bryson Willis, as Chef Louis, serves Grimsby, played by junior Zach Revell. Upon revealing that night's dinner, Chef Louis realizes their meal, Sebastian, has escaped.

Box Step: Prince Eric teaches Ariel how to dance right after she turns human. Slowly their connection begins to grow.

Falling in Love: Ariel and Prince Eric go on a scenic boat ride where Sebastian performs the song “Kiss the Girl.”

Congratulations!: Pike and Carlile lead the cast in bowing to the audience. They are given a loud, standing ovation before the curtains close.
