After an intense season that left fans wanting more, a new season of “The Traitors” was finally released Jan. 8 on Peacock. The official Instagram started posting each new member of the traitors family starting Nov. 10, sharing a new cast with both new and returning distinctions. The cast has many celebrities ranging from many different categories, let's take a look at what celebrities will appear on our screens!

Returning to the show and fan favorites from “The Real Housewives” are Candiace Dillar Bassett, Caroline Stanbury, Dorina Medley, Porsha Williams and Lisa Rinna all excited to rock the boat a little. Joining the gamer family are Natalie Anderson, Ian Terry, Rob Cesternino, Tiffany Mitchell and Yam Yam Arocho, all from either “Survivor” and “Big Brother.” Figure skaters Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, along with football player and bachelor Colton Underwood join as the athletes in the show. In the entertainment category, we see singer and songwriter Eric Nam, “Dancing with the Stars” pro Mark Balas and Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch from “Love Island.” Comedians Michael Rapaport and Ron Funches are ready to join the show and definitely get things heated. Lastly, the cast includes “Top Chef” Kristen Kish, Monét X Change from “RuPaul’s Drag Race," Stephen Colletti from “Laguna Beach” and none other than Mama Kelce, Donna Kelce, all ready to make a change to the show.

The first season of “The Traitors” was released in January of 2023 and created by Dutch television producer, Marc Pos. Hosted by Alan Cumming, the show's purpose is to bring celebrities from across all networks to play a real life version of the famous game Mafia.

Celebrities are casted and brought to Ardross Castle, a historic 19th century castle located in the Scottish Highlands in Scotland. Once there, they participate in a series of activities, or games, that allow them to collect and add money to the prize pot, earn shields that protect the possessor or, introduced later in the game, special perks to help gain advantages. On the first night of arrival, Cumming chooses his traitors that will be tasked with lying and murdering one faithful each night when they gather to meet each other. Every night that follows, every player gathers at the roundtable to vote someone to banish, that player then reveals what role they received. Towards the end of the game, when few players are left, the group must decide if they think that they voted out every traitor. If they decide to end the game, every player then reveals what their role was. If there is one traitor in the group, they win all the money, if not, then each faithful splits the money among each other.

After the first episode of Season 4, we find out that this season's traitors are Bassett, Rinna and Rausch, with our secret traitor later revealed to be Kelce when she was banished at the roundtable. Make sure to tune into the show every Thursday at 8 p.m. to see if the traitors or faithfuls win in the end.
