A new restaurant came to the North Tallahassee area and has boomed ever since. Established in 1992, Connors Steak and Seafood is best known for its high-quality steaks and fresh seafood. Its Tallahassee location is at 1415 Timberlane Rd, #101 but there are more locations in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee. With its diverse menu, excellent service and lively atmosphere, Connors Steak and Steak has been an incredible addition to Tallahassee’s food world.
Connors Steak and Seafood’s menu has six categories: Starters and Small Plates, Salads and Sandwiches, Signature Cuts, Enhancements, Seafood Specialties and Shrimp and Chicken. Complimentary rolls are served with garlic butter on the side. The menu has a variety of drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Each signature cut comes with a salad or a soup and a baked potato. The prices on the menu vary from $7 for Signature Lobster Crab Bisque or Homemade Soup of the Day to $49 for 9-oz Blue Cheese Filet. Between the sauces mixing well with the main course and the sides being as tasty as the main dishes, the variety of the menu and its food played a major role in how popular this restaurant has become.
Alongside this, the restaurant’s service was impeccable. Two polite employees greeted the customers at the door and promptly led them to their table. The waiter did a fantastic job of introducing himself and making sure each customer’s needs were met. Every employee knew there was a sense of urgency in jobs that needed to be done. Tables got checked up every 10 minutes or so to make sure each customer had everything they wanted and that everything was tasting delicious. Overall, the service at Connors Steak and Seafood goes unmatched and is one of the best in town.
Walking into the restaurant, there was much life among the customers. Almost all of the tables were full and the bar had few seats left. Because of this, the noise level was a bit loud. Sitting closer to the bar made it noisier, but on the other side of the restaurant, it was no problem. For a nice restaurant like this, the lights tend to be very dim which could make it difficult for an older crowd to be able to read the menu. The restaurant was very clean and there were no crumbs under the table. All of the dishes were spotless and had no issue. Despite the noise level by the bar and the dim lights, the atmosphere is very family-friendly and has a delightful feel.
Although Connors Steak and Seafood has not been in town for that long, it has become a new staple in many Tallahassee residents’ lives. With various menu options, flavorful food, prompt service and a pleasant atmosphere, this restaurant is the perfect balance between a fancy date night and a family dinner on the weekend.
