On April 17, Florida State University went through a tragic incident. They experienced an active shooter who was a student on campus. After the shooting, six people suffered terrible injuries, and two people were found dead. Five students were wounded due to gunfire and the sixth student was injured from fleeing the premises. The supposed shooter was identified as 20-year-old Phoenix Ikner who attended Florida State University and was also wounded by responding officers.

Robert Morales was 57 and was a longtime employee of FSU’s dining service department. In the report of the Miami Herald, Morales was attending a meeting with other university employees when the shooting began. His death was confirmed by his brother, Ricardo Morales Jr., in a post on social media Thursday night.

Tirru Chabba was a 45-year-old father of two and husband. Chabba was on campus as an employee of a school vendor when he got caught in the active shooting.

Due to this being a recent event, information is still being collected and reported. These families are going through an unimaginable amount of pain. Students at FSU have had candlelight memorial services for the two fathers that were lost. Hug friends and family and stay safe. Robert Morales and Tiru Chabba will not be forgotten.
