Maclay’s Literary Magazine Releases their 10th Anniversary Edition at Midtown Reader

Notes From the Underground (NFTU)’s first double edition features over 200 pages, with works from both past and present contributors. This special publication commemorates the magazine’s 10th anniversary.
To celebrate the release on April 13, NFTU hosted a reading at the local bookstore, Midtown Reader. There, contributors read their works from the newly printed book. Students, faculty and alumni alike came out to support NFTU and its contributors.
Editor-In-Chief Sophie Lombard opened the event with words of gratitude for the publication and its supporters. After reading her poem, “Nothing but Art,” Lombard introduced art editor Sofia Evers as the emcee for the night.
Evers introduced each of the 10 contributors who followed. The students presented a mix of essays and poetry, and each presentation was unique to the writer’s style and experience. Both Evers and Lombard gave closing remarks, thanking the audience for their support and the contributors for their presentations.
