Gallery: Mrs Dressel’s Photography Class Project

Pose: Senior Collins Dickson poses for a photo taken by senior Ava Claire Williams.

Flying: Sophomore Rebecca Gould photographs junior Kennedy Land and will later photoshop the image to make it look like she is flying.

Getting Ready: Sophomores Addy Sprague and Mallory Brookins plan a photo to create the illusion of a ghost floating in the woods.

Props: Students brought in different kinds of props to go with their photos. Some brought in pumpkins, others brought in sheets to transform themselves into ghosts and many other things.

Testing: Brookins practices using the manual setting on her camera to take her photos. This setting allows her to choose all individual settings for the camera.

Spooky Season: To create the spectacle of a floating ghost, the chair under the subject will be removed using the clone stamp tool in photoshop. This will give the appearance of a floating ghost.

Helping Hand: Art teacher Kaitlyn Dressel explains to junior Melody Yu how to use lightroom to edit her photos.

Light: Sophomore Logan Inglese tests out different angles of light before he begins taking his photos.

Manipulate: Yu manipulates the lighting in her photographs by using lightroom. She then will edit her photos in photoshop.

Next Step: Dressel explains the assignment to her students: they have to take photos that will allow them to practice using photoshop by removing objects in their photos.
