The Maclay Marauders played the North Forsyth Raiders on Saturday, Feb. 14. Maclay fell just short of the Raiders with a 5-6 loss that had fans on the edge of their seats. This loss brought the Marauders record this season to 2-2. Despite the setback, the Marauders are showing determination and aim to build momentum in their next games.

“I am looking forward to playing under a good coaching staff this season,” junior Tucker Poppell said.

With it still being the start of the season, the Marauders are excited to win more games with some new changes.

“My favorite part of baseball season is definitely right about now as we really get into playing 2-3 times a week and getting to see my teammates everyday,” sophomore Nicky Fiore said. “I’m looking forward to winning lots of games, having fun on the road trips to away games and getting dinner after games.”

The Marauders next game is against the Tiftarea Academy Panthers on Friday, Feb. 20. The team hopes to bounce back as they face off against the Panthers, hoping to turn their hard work into a win.
