Maclay Boys Basketball vs. Bozeman Bucks

The Maclay Marauders played the Bozeman Bucks on Friday, Jan. 9. The Marauders won the game in overtime 47-43, making their record 2-14. The Marauders played a great game to make up for their recent loss against the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks. From the opening tip off, the intensity was high as both teams fought to get the ball.
“My favorite part of the game was when I made a three pointer,” sophomore Colson Miller said. “We prepared by playing ping pong to lock in hand-eye coordination.”
The Marauders played a strong game. After being down at halftime, the Marauders made a comeback in the second half. They fought hard and tightened their play, not letting the game slip away. The action-packed game went into overtime, leading to a Maclay win with two game sealing free throws made by senior Dion Rogers. While the Marauders and Bucks were neck and neck the whole time, the Marauders turned on the heat needed in order to beat the Bucks.
The Marauders next game is senior night on Thursday, Jan. 15, against the Brookwood Warriors. They hope to start a winning streak and finish the season strong with the same energy from this victory.
