On Oct. 1, the developers of the infamous AI ChatGPT released a new update: Sora 2.0. This update targets video creation, allowing ChatGPT to create hyperrealistic products based on the prompt it is given. This new model also allows audio generation for these videos. The developers claimed the update was meant to help everyone express their creativity and accelerate humanity as a whole.

Additionally, the developers released a free app called Sora. This app is purely for video creation based on prompts, but is open to anyone for use. Sora comes with optional child controls, allowing parents to set limits and see previous searches.

The release of Sora has caused concern, especially with AI already being a prevalent issue. The release of Sora threatens many positions in the film industry; animators and artists are at risk of losing their jobs. The movie industry is worried that AI could take the place of script writers, leading to dehumanized movies being created.
