On Monday, Dec. 8, the Maclay Marauders faced off against the Lincoln Trojans in their eighth game of the season. After winning their last three games, the Marauders were looking to extend their streak. In a close game against the Trojans, the Marauders did, in fact, extend their win streak to four with a 1-0 win.

“It felt good to keep the win streak going,” senior captain Santi Nunez said. “It will help us keep the momentum going into our next games.”

During the game, the Marauders had multiple shots on goal. Senior Luke Daunt knocked in the lone goal for the Marauders to secure the win. Though the game was a one-score victory, the Marauders could have won by more if it were not for a late offside call that canceled another Daunt goal.

The Marauders’ next game is on Wednesday, Dec. 10, when the team takes on the Florida High Seminoles at home and look to extend their win streak to five games.
