On Thursday, Aug. 28, Maclay hosted its annual Inter-Club Council Fair (ICC).  The purpose of this event was to create a sense of community, especially with freshmen, so that they can be more comfortable in a school with many new faces.

Students were welcomed into Cartee by a multitude of booths seeking new members. These clubs range from intense academic societies to clubs devoted to serving the Tallahassee community. While students are searching for clubs to join, previous members are ready to greet them, handing out items such as candy or stickers. Poster boards are displayed to show interested members what life in the club entails. Some of the competitive academic clubs, like Mu Alpha Theta and JCL, have their trophies across the tables, showing students their previous successes. Whether students prefer more opportunities to let their artistic side shine, or would rather knock out the competition in a classroom, there were plenty of options for differing tastes.

After students sign up for clubs/ academic teams, the presidents will notify them for all future events occurring in the upcoming year.
