After an exciting start to the year having played in Ireland, the Maclay boys golf team faced the Florida High Seminoles on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at Southwood. The match was close all throughout, but at the end the Maclay golf team won by one stroke over the Seminoles. With the win, the team now has a winning record with hopes of keeping this streak alive.
“I did not play my best,” sophomore Cameron Kise said. “But my team rallied around me and we ended up winning the match.”
Even though some players struggled, the team stayed disciplined, knowing they had to win. Many Marauders made up for their teammates' struggles, staying resilient and shooting their season’s best score.
“I played well yesterday,” junior Max Ramsay said. “I shot my season best of 37.”
The Marauders look to keep winning as they play their next match on Tuesday, Sept. 24 in the Big Bend Classic at Southwood.
