The first ever Daisy Chain Fields festival took place on Aug. 29, 2026, at Great Park in Irvine, California. The festival was founded by singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, and it was inspired by the 1990s traveling music festival Lilith Fair, which was established by Sarah McLachlan. Daisy Chain Fields had a lineup of exclusively women artists, including Olivia Rodrigo, Chappell Roan, Doechii, The Breeders, Mitski, Bikini Kill, Santigold and more. There were also numerous special guests including Stevie Nicks, Alanis Morissette and Sarah McLachlan, who accompanied the performers on stage.

The event was organized to support charities for women and girls, and it had a total of 10 non-profit partners such as The Center for Reproductive Rights, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health and Planned Parenthood. There were around 45,000 attendees and the festival raised a total of $10 million, eventually reaching $20 million after Melinda French Gates doubled profits. The beginning of the festival was a historic event and a major milestone for women in activism.
