Flea Market Reopening in Tallahassee

The Tallahassee Flea Market will be opening a new permanent shop on Oct. 10, 2025. It will be located at 4721 Capital Circle Southwest next to Coastal Custom Services. A flea market is an open-air market for secondhand articles and antiques, known for having cheap prices and peculiar items for sale.

In Jan. 2025, Tallahassee’s popular flea market was forced to close after the snow storm caused significant damage.

“Most of the vendors were gone,” long-time customer Brendan Farrington said. “Much of the covered areas no longer had cover. There were bare slabs where small shops used to be.”

Since then, organizers have been looking for a permanent location where vendors can continue selling cheap goods to the Tallahassee community. The new site’s location was chosen due to proximity to the former location and the property owner’s willingness to lease his 4.6-acre lot.

The new outdoor flea market location will feature covered and uncovered areas. President Euguen Larry anticipates over 60 vendors participating in the new market, with advertisements beginning to air on local radio stations.

"What we are planning to do initially is to open three days a week," Larry said. "Then as things progress, we'll probably open seven days a week.”
