Ellen DeGeneres Moves From California to England With Her Now Retired Wife
Ellen DeGeneres started her career in the early 1980s as a stand-up comedian performing in small clubs and coffee shops. Ellen began to build her way up to the top and was soon on the extremely popular show “The Tonight Show” and also starred in multiple movies including “The Love Letter,” “Finding Nemo,” “Finding Dory” and more. Because of Ellen’s comedic style, she quickly gained a large amount of fans and popularity.
Ellen began “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2003 getting millions of views on each new episode. She has had many celebrities on the show like Adele, One Direction and even P. Diddy. After 19 years of running the show, she decided to end the series. Then, she waited two years for her wife, Portia de Rossi to retire from her work as an actress, bought a house they had been looking at for a while in England and moved in mid-November.
There are many rumors circulating the reason she left some of those being because of the recent Presidential election outcome, ongoing controversies regarding her toxic work environment and more. On the other hand many believe Ellen and her wife just wanted to live out their retirement somewhere different. Despite these rumors, Ellen has yet to speak out about her drastic move.
