Go Blue And White!
Maclay’s 2026 Homecoming Pep Rally
One of Maclay’s most memorable Homecoming traditions is the one-school pep rally, where students from the lower, middle and upper schools come together in the Webster Gym to share school spirit. Immediately, spirits were high as the pep rally opened with the presentation of fall sports teams, including football, volleyball, cross country, cheerleading, swim and golf.
Then, the event moved into games and performances. Teams for the games were the “Yellow Sponges,” “Pink Starfish,” “Green Turtles” and “Blue Dolphins.” Each team combined participants from the lower, middle and upper schools. Performances by the Maclay Dance Team, Maclay Valkyries, middle school cheer, JV cheer and varsity cheer were interspersed between the games.
Finally, winners of the Second Harvest food drive and Homecoming games were announced: the “Yellow Sponges” won a donut part for bringing in the most cans, and both the “Yellow Sponges” and “Pink Starfish” won free Jeremiah’s Italian Ice for their performances in the Homecoming game competition.
