Spotify Wrapped Is Released at Last

In 2024, Spotify Wrapped was released on Dec. 4. Despite the highly anticipated arrival from the platform’s users, the feature came out later than previous years. For example, in 2023, Spotify Wrapped was released on Nov. 29. In 2022 it was released Nov. 30, and in 2021 and 2020 the feature was available on Dec. 1.

The feature was less intricate than before. It used data to display a user’s total minutes listened, how many songs played, how many artists streamed, a personalized list consisting of a user’s top five artists and songs, an overview of their developing music taste and a special message from a highly played artist. Despite highlighting all of these statistics, Spotify Wrapped has included more personal stats in previous years. Prior to 2024, Spotify Wrapped has given users an overview of their music genres, what region their music taste is similar to and even their “music aura.”

A common belief of users was the idea that Spotify stopped tracking data for Spotify Wrapped after Oct. 31. Despite the rumor, Spotify released an announcement on the media platform X stating they tracked after Halloween.
