One Final Regional

Maclay Mu Alpha Theta Competes at the Final Regionals of 2025

On Saturday, March 1, Maclay’s mathletes went to Florida State University School, where they competed in algebra II, precalculus, calculus and statistics. This was the final regional Mu Alpha Theta competition before the state convention, which will take place in early April in Orlando, Fla.


In the team round, Maclay secured first, second and fifth place in calculus, statistics and Algebra II, respectively. This is the first competition of the year in which the calculus team took home the gold.


In the individual round, Maclay exhibited high scores in calculus and statistics. Among the high scorers were Landon Fantle in third place for calculus and Easton Steffen in third place for statistics. Maclay Middle also had a strong competitor in Trisha Patel who came in eighth in the algebra II division.
