Canadian pop star, singer and songwriter Tate McRae dropped her third studio album “So Close to What” on Feb. 21. Along with the release of her new album, she announced the global “Miss Possessive Tour” for 2025. Her new album and upcoming tour follow a successful year for McRae, as her second album “Think Later” reached No.4 on the Billboard Global 200. Out of this 2023 album, McRae composed two hit singles. McRae’s single “Exes” made the top 10 in Canada and hit No. 23 on the Billboard Global 20. The single “Greedy” spent two weeks at No.1 on the Billboard Global 200, with 59.4 million streams. Additionally, McRae spent a large portion of 2024 selling out arenas during her “Think Later World Tour.”
Like her previous albums, “So Close to What” was released through RCA Records. As a preview, McRae released the single “2 Hands” in Nov. of 2024, which debuted at No. 41 of The US Billboard Hot 100.
