Maclay Girls’ Soccer Senior Night

On Friday, Jan. 16, the Maclay Marauders varsity girls’ soccer team played against the Lafayette Hornets for their senior night. With tremendous support from their friends and family, the Marauders crushed the Hornets, taking them down 8-0. This win brings their record to 6-6-2 on the season, and the big win gives the team strong momentum to take into the playoffs.
This season, the Marauders have seven seniors on the roster who were recognized on senior night. These seniors are Lucy May, Neely Oberste, Lillian Koeppel, Claire Smith, Tea Agramonte, Dani Nakis and Grier Derosier. Each of them has been a part of the program since they were freshman, and all of their hard work was recognized during the game.
The Marauders are now entering the postseason after beating the Taylor County Bulldogs 2-0 on Jan. 17. Though their first playoff game is yet to be determined, the Marauders plan to make it far this postseason.
