Suns Out, Seniors Out

Annual Senior Beach Day

On Monday, April 28, Maclay seniors celebrated the last weeks of senior year with the annual senior beach day. This event is organized by Senior Class Sponsor Jessica Kerner and a senior parent provides their beach house for the students. Between enjoying the beach and swimming in the ocean to enjoying time with friends, this day celebrated all of the seniors’ hard work. This year, the Benners family hosted beach day at their house on Alligator Point.

After the bus arrived around 10 a.m., seniors set up beach chairs and towels on the beach to enjoy the sun. Lunch was served around 12 p.m., catered by Wharf. Throughout the day, seniors had the opportunity to design an airbrushed trucker hat. Students got to pick a design from over 10 choices and colors to personalize their hat. Many students put their name or a saying on their hat.

At the end of beach day, seniors took a big group photo on the beach to remember this day. After a day in the sun, the bus left around 2:30 p.m. to take the students back to Maclay.
