Colleges Come to Speak at Maclay

From Sept. 3, 2025, to Sept. 18, 2025, various colleges came to the Maclay campus to speak about their programs. These colleges include: Yale University, Tulane University, The University of Alabama, Auburn University, University of Florida, Florida Southern College and Sewanee College. These colleges are very well known, and some are dream schools for Maclay students.

While at Maclay, these colleges spoke about numerous topics, such as their courses and campus. Students were told classes they could take and speakers shared their experiences while attending the college, including studying abroad, parties, and being a student-athlete. The speakers also shared the best strategies to use when applying to colleges.

Students who attended these informational lectures were given pamphlets for the respective college. Certain schools also gave out bookmarks and other merchandise. Overall, these visits were both informative and fun for attendees and gave students a look into the next level of their education.
