The Trailer For “Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” Has Been Released
The official trailer for the fifth book in the globally renowned Hunger Games Universe, “Sunrise on The Reaping," was released Apr. 13, 2026. After multiple high viewing teasers, this full trailer was an excitement to fans around the world and has already accumulated nearly 15 million views spanning multiple different platforms.
Based off of the best selling book series, written by Suzanne Collins, “Sunrise on the Reaping” is a spin-off story following a young Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada. This movie will take place 24 years before the start of the first book in the main trilogy and follow the events of the 50th annual Hunger Games, also known as the second Quarter Quell. The cast welcomes a massive amount of talent, with actors such as Mackenna Grace, Maya Hawke and Ralph Fiennes, along with Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson who will be returning as their previous roles.
The trailer has shown a glimpse into what the movie, premiering in Nov. of 2026, will capture. With unique elements of horror and detailed designs, “Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” is sure to be a box office extravaganza.
