The Marauders played their fourth game of the season on Monday Aug. 25, against the Lincoln Trojans. While the match was back and forth, the final score was 2-3 with the Trojans coming out on top.

“We have a pre-game and it gets us really hyped up,”  freshman Grace Osiecki said. “We also make sure we make smart decisions at the net to help improve our game.”

They played a total of 5 sets, with Lincoln winning the first 2 sets with a score of 20-25 and 21-25. The Marauders won the third and fourth sets 25-21 and 25-12. After coming down to a back and forth final set in overtime, Lincoln beat Maclay 22-24 to take the overall win. Maclay fought their hardest and scored more points across each of the 5 sets, but took the loss, making their record 1-3.

Maclay is looking forward to making a comeback the rest of their season, hopefully starting with their match versus the Liberty County Bulldogs on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
