Top Ten Best Valentine’s Day Gifts

Every year, on Feb. 14, many give Valentine’s Day gifts to one another. From cute crafts to candy, these gifts can be anything. However, some struggle when it comes to gifting. Whether you are choosing a gift for a classmate or your best friend, this guide has the top ten most thoughtful and fun presents to give on Valentine’s Day.
1. Flowers
Flowers are a Valentine’s Day staple, with a variety of roses, tulips and lilies being found in stores everywhere. Flowers are pretty and extremely convenient, and knowing a person’s favorite flowers is thoughtful.
2. Candles
A scented candle is the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day. Candles smell nice, and many stores have entire shelves dedicated to just candles, making them super easy to find. In addition, knowing what candles the receiver may like shows that you care.
3. Stuffed Animals
Another Valentine’s Day staple is stuffed animals! Stuffed animals are cute and a perfect gift for someone you care about. Around the holiday, plushies have messages on them that typically show care for the recipient. These plushies are found everywhere as stores try to prosper during the holiday season, meaning you can walk in and almost immediately find them.
4. Blankets
Who doesn’t love a nice warm blanket? They are super comfortable, and are perfect as the chilly season comes to a close around Valentine’s Day. Blankets are another amazing gift for Valentine’s; they are very useful, and you can never have too many. Blankets are also very convenient, being found in most stores throughout the United States, with some stores having entire aisles dedicated to these.
5. Candy
Regardless if you have a sweet tooth or not, candy is always enjoyable. Around Valentine’s Day, many companies come out with fun limited time candies, like sweethearts, that are unique to the season. Candy is easy to find and cheap, making it an easy gift. Buying a person’s favorite candy is thoughtful, as it shows you know the person very well.
6. Lego Flowers
Ever since Lego decided to release Lego Flowers in 2021, they have been a popular gift for Valentine’s Day. Taking the original and popular concept of gifting flowers and turning it into something that stays forever and is built by the recipient gives new life to the original idea. Lego Flowers require no care other than the original building process, and this process can make the gift very memorable. These flowers cost about the same as regular flowers, which makes them even better.
7. Jewelry/Accessories
As a classic Valentine’s Day gift, jewelry and similar accessories are gifts that typically symbolize love and commitment. Personalized items show care and thoughtfulness, though they can be very pricey. These items can be anything from earrings to rings, and knowing the recipient’s preferences is important when buying jewelry.
8. Clothing
Personalized clothing can be an amazing way to show you care. Personalized clothing may be clothing with branding or symbols the recipient likes, or just something super comfortable. Regardless, giving any gift of clothing requires more thought than people may at first think: you must know the person’s size, what brands they like, and even what colors they like. Overall, clothing is a great gift that is underappreciated for Valentine’s Day.
9. Gift Cards
Unsure of what to get someone for Valentine’s Day? Well, why not let them choose for themself! Gift cards, although not requiring much thought, are an easy way to show someone you care. Letting them choose for themself allows them to get exactly what they want, except it’s paid for by you. You can also purchase a gift card to a specific store, so if you know the recipient has a favorite place to shop, you can still show thoughtfulness by buying a gift card for that store.
10. Homemade Cards
At the end of the day, the most thoughtful thing you can do for anyone is to write them a card. These cards can be funny, or very emotional, but they truly convey care and thoughtfulness. Homemade cards are purchasable everywhere, but the best cards are ones that you make, as they show real time and effort was put into the gift. They especially feel personal to the recipient, more so than most material goods.
