Every year since 2000, Maclay has hosted the Honor Code Signing Ceremony in Cartee Gym, where all upper school students and staff gather to reaffirm their commitment to the honor code. In this ceremony, those who are new to the upper school sign the Book of Honor.

To open the ceremony, Dean of Student Experience Heather Bas and Head of Upper School Charles Beamer each gave a short speech about the honor code. Senior student leaders gave speeches as well. Class of 2025 graduate John Fletcher Butler, one of the guest speakers in this year's ceremony, spoke about the impact Maclay had on him and talked directly to freshmen about why they should not take Maclay for granted. The final guest speaker, attorney Jimmy Fasig, discussed his experiences in life that taught him the importance of goal setting and maintaining a moral code.

Then, the president of each class led students who had not yet signed the Book of Honor. Starting with the seniors, Senior Class President Jediah Stewart walked his classmates to the book. Afterwards, he faced his class and asked them to stand and recite the Maclay honor code. The presidents of the following classes did the same.

To end off the 2026 Honor Code Signing Ceremony, senior Ella Pike sang the Maclay Alma Mater.
