The Marauders varsity boys basketball team played their second game of the season against the Aucilla Christian Warriors. The Marauders came out looking for a win, unfortunately, the Marauders came up just short, losing 45-52. However, the team still has a long season ahead after the loss to the Warriors.

“What prepares us for games is in practice, we scrimmage JV,” Junior Connor Thumb said. “This helps us both get better because JV gets to scrimmage better players, and we can work on our sets.”

The Marauders had a slow start to the game, falling behind by 14 points. However, the team outscored the Warriors during the rest of the game. Though, the Warriors were able to hold off the Marauders late game comeback.

The Marauders varsity boys basketball team plays at 8am on the Monday, Nov. 24, over Thanksgiving break at a tournament in Pensacola, followed by a game on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at 2pm. Then the Marauders come back home and face their arch rival the North Florida Christian Eagles on Monday, Dec. 1. Come and support your Maclay Marauders at upcoming games!
