On Tuesday, Oct. 14, the Maclay girls volleyball team played Saint Francis Catholic Academy Wolves in the second round of the district tournament. The Wolves beat Maclay 3-2, ending the Marauders season.

The Wolves came out strong winning the first set 25-21, but the Marauders bounced back, winning the next set 25-23. Maclay won the next set 33-31, however, Saint Francis Catholic Academy dominated sets four and five, outscoring the Marauders by 17 points.

Following this defeat, Maclay’s record dropped to 13-12. This is the third consecutive loss for the Marauders, but with the end of the season concluding, memories were made on and off the court and the team looks to make a deep run next season.
