Tallahassee’s Last Smashburger Sizzles out

The final Smashburger in Tallahassee, located on Village Square Boulevard, closed on Sept. 16. The closure follows the earlier shutdown of two other locations: one on Magnolia Drive and another on West Tennessee Street.

Smashburger first opened in Tallahassee in 2015. Known for its juicy burgers, crispy fries and hand-spun milkshakes, the franchise has been a popular choice in the area. The company has since removed the Tallahassee location from its website, and it is now listed as “permanently closed” on Google. 

While Smashburger still operates over 200 stores nationwide, the closest location for fans is now 121 miles away in Destin, Fla.
