The Maclay Marauders played against the Taylor County Bulldogs on Friday, Oct. 3. The players tried their hardest to beat the Bulldogs in a high pressure game, but were not able to capture the win. The Marauders are now 5-1 with the final score of the game being 41-14.

“Even though it was a rough loss, I thought it was important that we got humbled last night especially after starting the season 5-0,” sophomore Nicky Fiore said. “I think even though the scoreboard did not show it, we can play just as physically as a team like Taylor County.”

Marauder fans were fired up for the game because it was the WCTV’s game of the week. Although the Marauders lost, the fans showed up to support and cheer on the players. The players are using this loss as motivation to help them finish out the season without taking another loss.

The Marauders are looking to win their next game which is Maclay’s homecoming game on Friday, Oct. 10, against Chambers Academy.
