Maclay Varsity Volleyball Beats North Florida Christian

After coming off a 2-0 win against Valwood, the Maclay Marauders were looking to extend their win streak and get their record back to .500. On Tuesday, Sept. 2, the Marauders did just that while facing off against the North Florida Christian Eagles. Maclay won the match 3-0, led by junior captain Kate Hartmann leading the team with seven kills.
“I think I played pretty well,” Hartmann said. “I stayed aggressive at the net and kept my energy up the whole match.”
Maclay was also stellar when it came to their serves. Along with Hartmann, three other athletes contributed 10 or more points on serves. Senior Addison Davis led the game with an ace percentage of 43.
“The team played great today,” Davis said. “By limiting mistakes and trusting our coaches’ training and game plan, we were able to perform at a high level.”
The Marauders look to maintain their winning streak when they face the Wakulla Christian Saints on Thursday, Sept. 4.
