Maclay Varsity Volleyball vs. Florida High Seminoles

The Marauders played the Florida High Seminoles for the second time this season on Wednesday, Sept. 24. The girls were looking to get revenge on the Seminoles after they had previously lost to them 3-0 earlier in the season. However, they were not able to come out victorious, losing 3-0 to the Seminoles for the second time.
“The energy was a little low at first, but when we started performing well it went up,” sophomore Sarah Izuegbu said. “Whenever we don't get super hyped up or have lots of energy, the momentum of our plays just goes down.”
The girls started off slow, losing the first set by a wide margin. Eventually, they were able to gain some momentum in the second and third sets, which they used to keep up with the Seminoles and to build some momentum. However, they did not capitalize off of their boost of momentum as the Seminoles proved to be too powerful to stop.
The Lady Marauders look to get back to a winning streak when they play the North Florida Christian Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 25
