Maclay Marauders Varsity Football vs. Chambers Academy

On Friday, Oct. 10, the Maclay Marauders faced off against the Chambers Academy Rebels from Lafayette, Alabama. In the end, the long trip did not pay off for the Rebels, as they were defeated 38-28 by the Marauders. The Rebels threw four interceptions in the game, including one that came within the final minute and sealed the win for the Marauders.
“It was great to help my team win,” junior Caden Harrell said. “It takes a great team to accomplish what we have so far this season.”
On offense, the Marauders steamrolled the Rebels. Junior Tucker Poppell opened the game with a scoop and score touchdown. The team said this game was especially important to win because it was their homecoming game.
The Marauders’ next game is on Friday, Oct. 17, against their archrivals, the North Florida Christian Eagles, in the battle of Meridian road.
