On July 20, 2026, Marvel Entertainment released the first full trailer for their highly anticipated film, “Avengers: Doomsday.” Ever since the release of “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019, Marvel fans have been waiting patiently for news about the next MCU phenomenon. Marvel Studios dropped a short teaser trailer on Dec. 23, 2025, and showed the full trailer at the 2026 CinemaCon. Marvel has been quite secretive about the film as a whole, but they have shared that a large number of the prior actors are returning. This includes prominent cast members such as Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Storm, James Marsden as Cyclops and most notably Robert Downey Jr. as Dr. Doom.

The trailer accumulated views in record speed, with 503 million views globally within 24 hours of its release. Marvel then released its second trailer for the movie on Aug. 14, 2026, which contained more information about the plot and characters. The movie itself is coming out on Dec. 18, 2026, and is said to be the largest multiversal crossover event in MCU history, with characters from X-Men, Fantastic Four, the Avengers and more. The film will serve as a precursor to “Avengers: Secret Wars,” which is scheduled to be released in December 2027.
