The Search For the Stolen Jewelry Continues

On Oct. 19, 2025, one of the most bold heists in history took place. A team of thieves dressed as construction crew managed to rob the world famous museum, The Louvre, in approximately seven minutes in broad daylight. By dressing up as a construction team and entering through an unlocked window they managed to steal what is estimated to be worth around 120 million US dollars of jewelry.
After collecting data from the scene, the investigators analyzed over 150 samples of DNA. It took the authorities quite some time to find any of the criminals. As of Oct. 25, the police have arrested two of the men, one of which was trying to flee the country. This being said, none of the jewels, consisting of over 1,000 Napoleon era diamonds, were on the bodies of those taken into custody. Authorities suspect that the items stolen have already been melted down or sold off, and there is not a likely chance they will be resurfacing.
