2026 State of Union Address

The State of the Union address is an annual speech delivered by the current U.S. president to Congress. The president uses it to review the country’s current condition and advocate for congressional action on issues that he believes are important. Many civilians and service members were also in the audience to be used as examples in his speech.
“Dalilah Coleman was only five years old in June 2024 when an 18-wheel tractor trailer plowed into her stopped car, traveling at 60 miles an hour or more,” Trump said. “The driver was an illegal alien, let in by Joe Biden and given a commercial driver's license by open borders, politicians and California.”
U.S President Donald Trump began this year’s address with a message of patriotism, noting that this year is the United States’ 250th year of independence. He went on to claim that he began his presidency by inheriting a struggling country that he was able to transform into a prosperous nation. Trump’s speech lasted almost two hours, partly due to congress members interrupting to stand and applaud him.
“A short time ago, we were a dead country,” Trump said. “Now we are the hottest country anywhere in the world. The hottest.”
