Universal Opens a New Park

Universal Studios Epic Universe is set to open May 22. Epic Universe will be Universal Orlando’s third park. Epic Universe is expected to include worlds based on popular franchises like How to Train Your Dragon, Universal Monsters, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (specifically a Fantastic Beasts-inspired area) and Super Nintendo World. In addition to these themed lands, Universal Epic Universe is designed with a unique layout that centers around a hub, Celestial Park, which acts as the gateway to the various worlds.

Spanning over 750 acres, the park is the largest Universal has ever built in the United States. Epic Universe will feature a full resort that goes directly into the park and offers premium access to Celestial Park. Universal is also trying to expand interactive features throughout the park. Construction originally began in 2019 but came to a halt during the COVID-19 pandemic. Guests and creators were invited to the park starting in March of 2025 for sneak peeks.
