Florida Clinches a Share of the SEC Title with a Win Over Arkansas

The Florida Gators took on the Arkansas Razorbacks on Saturday, Feb. 28. With a win, the Gators would clinch a share of the regular season SEC title. The Gators did just that as they easily took care of the Razorbacks, winning 111-77.
The game was pretty much over early on as the Gators showed dominance on both sides of the court. By halftime, the Gators were already up by 19 points, with the score being 53-34. Coming out of halftime, the Gators stayed hot as they continued to increase their lead, which saw its peak at 30 points with 13 minutes left in the second half. With the final score being 111-77, it was clear that the Gators were the better team in this matchup. Florida’s big men were the main contributors to their success as Tommy Haugh, Reuben Chinyelu and Alex Condon controlled the tempo for most of the game. Also, Seven Gators had double digits in points, which was another contributor to Florida's blowout win.
With the victory, the Gators finished Feb. with their ninth win in a row and locked up a share of the regular season SEC title, this is their first since 2014. With two games left in the regular season, the Gators remain atop of the SEC and two games ahead of the Alabama Crimson Tide.
The Gators are back at home for their penultimate game of their regular season as they face the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Tuesday, Mar. 3. If the Gators can pull off a win, they will be outright regular season SEC champions.
