I Would Say File A Report, But…

Not-So-New Information on the Epstein Files is Released

Jeffery Epstein, born in 1993, was an affluent financier and had various connections with distinguished individuals. He was a registered sex offender and was involved in sex trafficking with minors. In 2019, he was arrested but died in custody before his trial. Epstein’s death was ruled a suicide.

Recent controversy has been sparked due to the White House’s reluctance to share the files that detail the full extent of the abuse. Donald J. Trump, the current United States president, campaigned with the promise to release the files. After being elected, Trump had changed his stance on releasing the Epstein files. Lots of controversy about this change of mind has surfaced as Trump and Epstein used to be associates

On Sept. 2, 2025, the House Oversight Committee released over 33 thousand pages of the files. These files contain information already known by the public or that they had access to.

House Republican Speaker Mike Johnson is attempting to persuade Democrats and Republicans alike to vote on a bill that would force the Justice Department to release the entirety of the remaining files.
