Never Forget
25 Years Since the Tragedy of 9/11

On Sept. 11, 2001, the United States experienced its most deadly and drastic terrorist attack. Four hijacked planes, controlled by Islamic Jihadists, were steered towards notable structures. The White House, the Pentagon and the Two World Trade Center Towers were targets of this attack. Three of the planes hit their targets, and the plane aimed at the White House was overtaken by passengers, who crashed into an empty field in Pennsylvania. Nearly 3,000 people died in these attacks, including first responders, plane passengers and people at work in the attacked locations.
In 2026, 25 years after the tragic attacks, the United States continues to hold memorials for the deceased and those affected by 9/11. Vice President JD Vance and all living former presidents gathered in New York to attend the annual memorial service at the Twin Tower’s former plaza. Current President Donald Trump spoke at the Pentagon as well, describing the attacks as a moment of evil. In addition to these memorials, the National September 11 Memorial and Museum added a seventh moment of silence to honor victims of the attacks. Previously, the moments of silence followed the timeline of the attacks, such as the time each tower fell or was crashed into. People will forever continue to commemorate the survivors and victims of these attacks.
