Disney Reveals Upcoming X-Men Reboot Cast Members

On Friday, Aug. 14, Disney revealed the cast for the upcoming X-Men reboot films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, took the stage at D23 Expo to reveal the actors who will be portraying the iconic superpowered mutant team consisting of Professor X, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Emma Frost and Rogue. Additionally, the casting of Mr. Sinister, the primary antagonist of the first reboot film, was also revealed.
Professor X will be played by Christopher Abbot, Jean Grey by Sadie Sink, Cyclops by Kit Connor, Storm by Maya Boyd, Emma Frost by Samara Weaving and Rogue by Inde Navarratte. Adam Driver, known for his role as Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, will play Mr. Sinister.
After Sink’s performance in “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which debuted on July 31, fans were excited to hear that she will continue her role in the upcoming X-Men reboot. Rogue’s casting was also a pleasant surprise, as fans highlighted Navarratte’s excellent performance in the indie film “Obsession,” which was released in May.
The new era of X-Men will debut on May 5, 2028, when the first reboot film will be released in theaters.
