Regional Routines

A 2026 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals Recap

The 2026 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals brought some of the most important meets of the season. With limited spots available at nationals, the gymnasts faced intense pressure, and in order to move forward, they needed to avoid mistakes and perform clean routines. The gymnasts focused on every individual score because even the smallest errors can determine who advances to nationals. Starting on April 1, and ending on April 5, the top 16 teams were seeded and teams 17-36 were assigned to locations including the Baton Rouge Regional in Louisiana, Tempe Regional in Arizona, Corvallis Regional in Oregon and Lexington Regional in Kentucky.

Starting off strong, University of Florida (UF) gymnast Selena Harris-Miranda won the regional beam title with a score of 9.95. Adding to the excitement for UF, Skye Blakely scored a 10.0 on bars and Kayla DiCello scored a 9.95 on vault.

Other key performers included Kailin Chio from LSU, Jordan Chiles from UCLA, Anna Roberts from Stanford, Nikki Smith from Michigan State and Shyla Bhatia from Denver. Each of these athletes were top scorers and helped their teams gain points for their goal of advancing to nationals.

The team advancers from the Lexington Regional were Oklahoma with 198.350 points and Arkansas with 197.450 points. Advancers from the Baton Rouge Regional included LSU with a score of 197.825 and Stanford with a score of 197.225. UCLA scored 197.725 and Minnesota scored 197.625 to advance from the Corvallis Regional. Finally, from the Tempe Regional, UF advanced with a score of 198.050, as well as Georgia with a score of 197.750.

Overall, the 2026 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals highlighted the high level of competition and small margins that decide the season’s outcome. Across every region, teams delivered sharp performances under pressure, with top scorers helping to secure advances to nationals. From standout routines to all around effort, the meets proved that execution adds to the difficulty and competitiveness of the 2026 season. As the advancing teams move forward, they hope to add to their momentum by competing as strong as possible at Nationals.
