The Boys and Girls Basketball Game Against Rocky Bayou Christian

On Friday, Feb. 8, Maclay boys and girls basketball teams traveled away to play Rocky Bayou Christian. The girls played their match first while the boys cheered from the stands; then, the roles switched when the boys took the court. The games for both teams were for the district title, so the Marauders were hoping to take home a win.

The girls first played Rocky Bayou back in December and lost, so they went on the court determined to redeem themselves. The game ended with a score of 43-16 and the Lady Marauders leaving the court without redemption or a win. They played their hearts out and kept their heads high until the end.

On the other hand, the boys were able to take home a victory. Starting out with a broken down bus, the game ended with a score of 67-35 with Maclay taking the win.

With that game, the Lady Marauders finished their season with a 15-10 record. The boys basketball team will next play University Christian on Wednesday, Feb. 12 for another playoff game.
