Actor Walker Scobell is Skipping Highschool Prom Because of Death Threats

Walker Scobell, known for his debut at age 13 in the acting world in “The Adam Project” and “Percy Jackson,” quickly rose to fame for his amazing acting skills as a young child. Along with starring in movies and shows, he actively attends school in the Fairview School District, being able to juggle both a highly demanding career and his education.

With the spring season coming around, high schools are setting prom dates and themes, getting upperclassmen everywhere excited to dance the night away. With this, Scobell was assumed to be going to prom this year, and fans everywhere went crazy. They all were excited to see what he would wear and how much fun he would have. However, this all went downhill after Scobell posted a story on Instagram.

“Please stop sending death threats to every teenage girl who could remotely be associated with me based on their proximity to where I live,” Scobell wrote on Instagram. “It’s not fair to them or to their families. Maybe also just stop sending death threats in general. That’s just not cool. Kinda weird I have to say this.”

Scobell posted about the death threats on Sunday, April 12. Soon after addressing the threats, he added that he will “not be attending prom.” Not only were girls he may not even know receiving death threats, but his opportunity to go to prom and have fun was also ruined by crazed fans.

Instead of ruining his fun of going to a high school dance, fans should be supportive that a young actor is still trying to have a shot at a normal school life.
